I took the main picture in my mom's room mid-day, and ii took the texture picture in the morning outside at CP. In lightroom, i changed the texture picture's color with B&W Creative - Cyanotype. I also rotated the texture picture to the right so that it is vertical like the main picture. Then, i imported the texture and main picture into photoshop. I made the texture picture the same size as the main. I copied and pasted the texture picture onto the main picture and i choose the ps blending mode "dissolve." Then, i chose the ps blending mode "color burn." I left opacity at 100% because i was satisfied with how it came out at 100%.
The texture layer i used improves the image because it enhances the fact that the main picture is a breakable object. The cracks in the porcelain look real and make the photo more interesting to look at. It also gives a mood of mystery to the photo because if a breakable object was cracked or broken that much, it would be almost impossible to put back together or even stand up straight.
